Amidst reports of gunpowder in Cannanore, Kerala, men are coronated with headgears passed down centuries. Every year for one shortlived month, mere mortals become Gods. And relive epics. The ceremonies itself border on bizarre. Sugriv and Bali fight a battle that only Bali can win traditionally. The peace needs to be brokered by Papooran (Hanuman). Only locals smuggle away Papooran luring him with tea and biscuits and ensuring the battle never ends.
